GPS Devices Track the Mail

Posted on May 5, 2008 in GPS Tracking, News | by RMT GPS News

Once, many years ago my parents received an invitation to a July 4th party. My mother called right away to RSVP. It turns out that the invite was for a party held the year before.  It had gotten lost in the mail. My parents hadn’t noticed the  old postmark and their friends didn’t mention the party, assuming that they were just unable to attend.

Lost party invites may be a thing of the past with the new letter-tracking devices that the United States Postal Service has recently commissioned. The tiny, two ounce Letter Logger can be placed inside an envelope and a piece of mail can be tracked for a period of two weeks. You never have to wonder if they got your invite or your letter again. With a GPS tracking device in your letter, it is as good as delivered.

The reach of GPS tracking technology is far and wide. Perhaps you are not all that interested in keeping track something as small as a letter, but would like to track something a little larger. Our tracking devices work a lot like the Letter Logger: you place a tracking device somewhere in the object you want to track and then you can go to your computer and get updates on where your assets are.

Rocky Mountain Tracking has a wide variety of tracking devices to track your car, construction equipment and other valuables. And with a GPS tracking device from RM Tracking, you will be able to keep up with your assets for much longer than two weeks.
