You have to hand it to automobile manufacturers; they have done some remarkable work in helping to develop theft deterrent systems on the vehicles that we buy. This includes the addition of GPS navigation systems that provide for the location of a specific vehicle any time that information is needed.

As an aside, did you ever stop to consider that they can perform this activity anytime that they get an order to do so? And from where do those orders come? Certainly the vehicle owners, but beyond that, who knows?

A GPS Tracking system is better than a navigation system. A navigation system has its place and no one can argue that they do not perform with admirable accuracy and service. But there are other concerns that make a GPS Tracking system more favorable.

Insurance discounts. Insurance companies will give you a discount on your insurance with a GPS Tracking system, not a navigation system. This is because with the tracking system, you are able to recover a stolen vehicle in hours as opposed to days weeks or even ‘never.’

Theft Deterrence. The best vehicle thieves know how to disable manufacturer navigation systems almost instantly. Will they know that a GPS Tracking system is on-board as well? Not unless you tell them. There is no such thing as a theft-free vehicle. As long as you own a vehicle, it is a target. This is especially true of vehicles that are high on the list of bandits who steal and then sell to chop-shops where your car is parted out on the black market.

Recover by Tracking. Both systems provide for instant traceability, but the GPS tracking system puts the data in your hands. You can notify authorities of the location of your vehicle even if the batter is disconnected. Can a navigation system do that?

Let’s face it, police would rather act on an in-progress theft than to have to sift through pages of ‘evidence’ and hopefully be able to eventually connect a person or persons with the theft of your vehicle. Your chances of getting your vehicle back before it gets to a chop-shop are greatly increased. Your best defense is a good offense. Instantly, your vehicle becomes traceable with one of these GPS Tracking systems.

There has never been a better time to own a vehicle in terms of keeping it safe from would-be thieves. Both systems deliver what they promise, but a GPS tracking device goes farther. Help make sure you are not the next victim with the addition of one of these systems. You will not regret the decision.
