In the market of GPS Tracking systems there are manufacturers who are intent upon supplying devices that work well under conditions that are extreme to common place. These companies use the most current technology advances and methods to insure quality and long life.
Other companies are not so inclined. Just as in any other industry, this one has its lower end product manufacturers that have not other interest than making a profit at any cost. That is why you should heed the following when looking into a GPS Tracking system.
Hardware reliability. Not enough can be said for the manufacture of products that can withstand heat and cold extremes and still perform with impeccable accuracy. Rigorous testing by distributors is a must in separating the wheat from the chaff. Most have a multi-point inspection quality check which these devices must pass or be discarded as unworthy of promotion. Low end units that do not meet the standards necessary to perform admirably have to be sacrificed in order to maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
Ease of use. The ability for the end user to be able to use one of these devices with little or no interaction from a distributor is a must. There is nothing more frustrating that making a purchase (especially in fleet quantities) that creates more work and headaches than imagined. Having an easy to use interface and system is the first step towards total customer satisfaction.
Strong Customer support. Once the sales process is completed, customer service takes over to insure success in integration and utility of the GPS Tracking system. Should a customer encounter a situation where question arise as to the functionality and operations of a unit, customer service has to be able to handle the delicate issues that will help a customer come out on the other side with a better understanding of the unit and how to make it operate to their satisfaction.
Competitive Pricing. Price models have two components. First is the actual cost of the unit itself, next is the quality of the unit which underscores the pricing. GPS Tracking systems that are subpar in quality reflect that in pricing and are not suitable for sale by a reputable distributor.
Being open and willing to talk about the issues concerning GPS tracking systems and the expectations and reliability of these units will go a long way towards creating a comfortable environment which all parties can participate and make sure that needs are met.
