When we discuss deliver businesses, we normally think of big trucks and other vehicles that are a part of daily routes. Certainly these are a part of the consideration, but there are also other delivery businesses as well. These also include small package delivery and even the medical deliver businesses.
No matter in which business you are involved a GPS Tracking system gives you advantages in running your business that keeps you in control and on top of your schedules.

Re-routing. Changes in deliveries based on shortest and quickest routes can be performed in mid-stream of a delivery day or route. This increases customer satisfaction in being able to change with so little effort in order to service their needs.
Proximity deliveries. Based on location and proximity, you can find your delivery vehicle that is available for an extra pick-up saving fuel and time. Without this feature you might pick the wrong vehicle which will add time and miles to their route which would be better allocated elsewhere.
Time alerts. This option allows you to receive an alert when your driver reaches a pre-determined location. This is a wonderful way to track progress on a route. Markers can be set along a route to see where trouble spots come up most often.
Advanced notification. Because of the ability to track in real-time, you can use street level mapping which displays address, speed and direction to be able to provide an advance notice of when your driver will be arriving if the critical nature of a deliver requires that type of information. This can be useful in the medical field where life-dependent deliveries are needed.
Real-time tracking. Tracking your delivery teams means being able to perform real-time displaying of in-progress routes and schedules. You can tell if a driver is on time or is running late and help make adjustments to handle any negatives that might arise because of circumstances. This is especially helpful when routes are interrupted by construction or other traffic hindrances.
Verify arrivals, deliveries, and departures. Once a deliver day is completed, the data for that route can be downloaded and saved for future reference or for billing purposes. Being able to verify deliver times can provide evidence of compliance.
Customer service is enhanced and satisfaction is the norm, not the exception with a GPS Tracking system that is fully integrated into your business. You will wonder what you ever did without it.
