One of the Products offered by Rocky Mountain Tracking is the Tracking Key® by Land Air Sea®. This small GPS Tracking device fits nicely into the palm of your hand. Externally, it is simple and black. There is a strong magnet on top of the unit that aids in attachment to metallic surfaces which is especially handy for vehicle applications.

The Tracking Key® uses orbiting satellites in order to maintain contact and provide data as to its location to within 2 ½ meters. Also, speed and direction of travel are recorded every second.
There are no monthly fees associated with this unit. You install the software for the device onto your PC, and then connect the device via its USB port and off you go. Once the data has been gathered for the specific time period needed, then it is downloaded through the attached USB port right onto your PC.
This GPS Tracking device is fully portable, running exclusively on 2 AAA batteries. And, once outfitted with new batteries, you can obtain up two week’s worth of data on alkaline batteries and three weeks on Lithium batteries.
After the data has been downloaded onto your PC, you then use Google Earth which overlays the data that was tracked right onto the map for a visual look at the activities recorded by the Tracking Key®. You also get a text report of the vehicle’s movements which includes maximum speed and miles driven. Also, you see every stop made by the driver and the duration of that stop.
This GPS Tracking device is good for a wide variety of applications. Businesses that do not need real-time tracking can use it to verify fleet usage. Parents can track the location and speeds at which their children are driving. Police can use it to track vehicle movements.
The applications for its use are limited only by the imagination of the user. In fact, here are some other uses that might be of interest:
Bicycling tours. Want to know where you have gone and the speed and location as well as stops? Take one of these with you.
Motorcycle trips. Track the activities of your motorcycle trips along with stops you made along your way.
Vacation tracking. Create a visual log of your vacation with sites of interest denoted and marked on a copy of a Google Map that you print off when you arrive back home. Combine it with your photographs to make a great album to show to friends and family.
Motor home tracking. Use these devices to log the miles driven and stops made. Keep track of the best routes to take to the destinations that you desire to see.
All of this and more can be obtained with the use of a Tracking Key. You can use this passive device for fun or serious applications while keeping your cost low. GPS Tracking systems are lower in cost than ever before and now is a great time to see which one will benefit you today.
