We all like to think that other people will be as understanding with the mentally disabled as we ourselves would be with our own parents, but the truth is that many people become frustrated or irritable with someone who can’t remember how to get home or how they got to a certain location in the first place. You can know immediately whether they are down the street at the neighbor’s house or whether they’ve wandered into a dangerous area.
