This is a pretty thorough article that explores all the uses of gps technology. The future looks bright for GPS technology but it is still in its infancy. For example, with dog tracking systems, radio dog trackers still offer close to double the performance range and the gps devices are still not available in a number of remote areas b/c of the limits of cellular technology in those areas. Still, I think gps and rfid technology are two of the most interesting new technologies around. Will be interesting to see how much further things advance in the next 10 years.
