Lindsay Lohan’s Latest Fashion Accessory

By Harriette Halepis

Source acquired via Canoe, May 26, 2010, Beverly Hills, California – Lindsay Lohan has recently been ordered by L.A. Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel to wear a GPS tracking bracelet. While not as pretty as some of Lohan’s other jewellery, the bracelet in question has the ability to track her whereabouts and detect whether or not she’s been drinking. The device (called SCRAM) is manufactured by Alcohol Monitoring Systems, Inc., and parents all across the country are wondering how to purchase the latest celebrity accessory.

GPS Tracking & Ankle Tracking

During a recently held press conference, numerous parents of reckless teens ask Alcohol Monitoring Systems spokesperson Kathleen Brown whether or not the GPS/alcohol bracelet was available for retail sale. Brown’s response was that there might be “…a market down the road…” for anxious parents, but that the devices are not for sale quite yet. Mainly, the GPS bracelet that Lohan is now sporting is reserved for criminals.

As Judge Marsha Revel has clearly pointed out, Lohan is not above the law when it comes to missing court dates and acting in a drunken manner. In addition to keeping tabs on criminals and monitoring one’s alcohol intake, SCRAM was also invented to help alcoholics avoid alcohol. SCRAM immediately alerts authorities when someone who is wearing a SCRAM device consumes alcohol. This prevents an alcoholic from being tempted to take a drink, and that’s exactly what SCRAM aims to do.

The way SCRAM works is quite simple. When alcohol is consumed, a small amount of that alcohol eventually works its way to the skin’s surface layer. As a person sweats, droplets of alcohol are detected by the SCRAM device. Since this GPS tracker cannot be tampered with or removed, authorities will be able to find out exactly when a person’s been drinking. In the case of Lindsay Lohan, avoiding SCRAM detection is nearly impossible.

There’s no word yet as to when Lohan’s bracelet will be removed, though Judge Brown has stated that any kind of parole violation will result in jail time for the starlet. Thus far, Lohan has been cooperating with authorities, and she has not yet had a SCRAM incident.

I agree! LOL This exposure of GPS devices to the general public will let everyone know that law enforcement is “watching” and protecting our communities. Thanks for the comment! – admin.

All joking aside, this is a great place to use GPS tracking – both providing an ill taste for a criminals pallet, and giving law enforcement a huge advantage. I do wish she would shave her legs, though!!!
