Don’t Miss Vacation Bliss Take This (GPS!)

Posted on August 2, 2010 in Car Tracking, Crime Prevention, GPS Fleet Tracking, GPS Vehicle Tracking, News | by Admin

Here is a simple explanation of why you need a GPS Tracking device with you on your vacation. Consider the stories of those who had them vs. those who did not and wish that they had it for protection.

Family Will Worry Less

There’s nothing like being able to have a backup at home to make sure that you are where you need to be at the time you are supposed to arrive. Family and friends who care about you can monitor your location and alert authorities should there be a problem.

Documents Your Traveling Speed

Those annoying speeding tickets are hard to pay. This is especially true because with cities and towns struggling to meet budgets, ticket prices have gone up. It is not uncommon to see speeding tickets cost over one hundred dollars and some approaching $150. GPS Tracking devices have provided court admissible evidence to help with fighting against tickets that you suspect are not correct. At the very least, you should force the court to prove their case.

You Can be Located in an Emergency

This is more important than you think. If you should get side-tracked and off on some little used back roads, you can be found with GPS Tracking. Don’t allow an incident like this to ruin your vacation – especially if it occurs during bad weather. Remember you are in a foreign spot (even if you are in the USA!) and roads outside of your hometown are not familiar. Sometimes, it can become a life-threatening situation. Remember the man who was lost in a snowstorm and left his family in the car and went for help? The family was saved, but he perished.

The Valet Guy Took My Car on a Joyride

One story from a man who took his wife on a vacation recounted this experience; he took his car to a hotel location that provided valet parking for his expensive BMW. Upon checking out of his room and getting into his car, he discovered that it had been driven 85 miles without his permission or authorization. The way he knew this is because he keeps impeccable driving records and records his mileage to every destination.

He could have taken this one step farther if he had a GPS Tracking device attached: he would have been able to see to WHERE the car had been driven. Then, he could have pressed charges against the business. Instead, he was left with unverifiable evidence.

There are so many good reasons to take GPS Tracking with you on your vacation that you should heed the advice and make the investment. Then, when you return, keep the device attached to your car all of the time. You never know when you (or a friend) might need it.
