The Arizona Office of Tourism has an app for visitors based on the popular www.arizonaguide.com, giving people an easy way to explore the state.
Gone are the days of printing out maps to take along on a family trip. Now, you can simply pull up the information pertaining to things to do in the area right on your phone.
Receive a calendar of events, which is updated each day, to find out what’s happening where you are, find the perfect place to play a round of golf, find a nice restaurant to enjoy dinner with the family, or find a spa nearby to lose yourself for the day.
If you haven’t a clue where Mill Ave. is (for example) relative to where you are, simply follow the turn-by-turn directions — also available through the smartphone app.
John Hudak, Chief Marketing Officer for Madden Media, the company who puts out the state’s official visitor’s guide, says “we wanted our home state to have a ‘best in class’ mobile website.” With all this app has to offer tourists, they seem to have done just that.
