Keeping track of employees on the road can be a difficult task. Hopefully, you’ve hired employees that you can trust to be where you need them, when you need them there. Unfortunately, people tend to do the bare minimum, particularly when they think they can get away with it. Issue tracking software helps you automate and track your business activity properly.
It can be difficult enough to keep one’s employees on task while working in the same office space, but when managers and employees are miles away from each other, there is almost no way to ensure accountability. That is, until now. Redfox, Inc. has developed a mobile application, called GPS Punch!, which allows employers to monitor their employee‘s activity while away on business trips.
In order to use the GPS Punch! app, the mobile employee must carry an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, either owned by the employee or provided by the employer. GPS Punch! is free and can remotely access the GPS tracking information of your employee’s phones. It is all too easy for employees on the road to take long breaks or run personal errands on their employer’s dime.
With GPS tracking technology, employers can make sure that their employees are on task, earning their wages. Along with improved employee accountability, the app can also be used to review the efficiency of the working habits of each employee.
The GPS Punch! app includes a range of free features to better monitor one’s employees. As well as providing a digital punch clock for attendance records, the GPS tracking technology allows employers to review the travel path of each employee throughout the day. Employees can indicate when they are beginning a task, ending a task, when they take and end their breaks, whey they’re in transit or at an office. Employers also have the ability to comment on employee statuses to provide feedback in real time. The app is currently available in English and Japanese and can be downloaded from the Apple App store.
