The RMT Watchdog satellite tracking device lives up to its name and then some. You expect a watchdog to keep an alert and watchful eye on your property, but for the most part that watchfulness does not extend past your very own yard. Well, this is where the RMT Watchdog surpasses its namesake since it keeps a watchful eye on your assets in your yard and beyond. It is the ideal solution for tracking inventory, trailers, containers, equipment and other assets that you really do not want to lose sight of as they travel.
It does not take much to make a watchdog happy and in return they provide you with an invaluable service. Just as an animal watchdog liked to keep things simple, the RMT Watchdog’s simplex operation does away with complicated two-way communication for assets that really only need to make use of one-way communication. Because the RMT Watchdog is designed to be unobtrusive, it is small and can be installed quite easily. There is not need for harnesses, antennas or source of external power.
With the RMT Watchdog you get:
* Direct Satellite Tracking
* Great for Inventory Management
* No Coverage Gaps
* 7 Year Battery Life (2 updates / day)
* No External Wiring or Antenna
* Web-based, NavIQ, Software
* Real Time Fixed Interval Reporting
* History Reports & Maps
You may still be wondering just how this one-way communication works because the RMT Watchdog operated differently from any other vehicle tracking device that RMT offers. The RMT Watchdog uses a direct satellite connection instead of a gprs connection (the kind of connection used to operate a cell phone).
What you also need to know before purchasing an RMT Watchdog is that because of the one-way communication, this device must be configured before the device is shipped to you. Since the configurations must to set by a RMT technician, it is very important that you think carefully when choosing the service plan that you want to use for this device. We will be happy to talk with you to help you make that decision. Still, please know that should you need to make a change to your plan, we are glad to help. Call Rocky Mountain Tracking today at 1-877-477-9668 to talking with a knowledgeable person in our support center about ordering your RMT Watchdog.

The work of conducting a census starts long before the actual census begins. Those who will conduct our next census next year in 2010 have already begun to prepare, recruit additional workers and put the systems in place that will be needed to ensure the information that gathered gives an accurate account of our country’s population.
And before that data can be collected, officials need to get data on who actually lives where before they can get further assessments. This year officials in Ohio have already started looking for people that they can train to take on address canvassing.
This time all of the work to verify every address in the entire country will be conducted using an auto tracking device. So to all those people who think that the government is behind the times and moves slowly to adapt new technology, this will be welcome news. The government is not going to rely on paper and pencil alone as they count and get basic information on its citizens; it will be using GPS tracking to assist.
Although GPS tracking systems will be used in this process, officials still want to employ people to work in the areas where they live. And this makes sense because sending people to work in areas that are unfamiliar seems counterproductive no matter what kind of GPS tracking technology is being used as an aid.
GPS can also aid you in any number of projects. If you want to get an accurate record of vehicle use, a GPS tracking device can help. Whether you want to track your teenager, track your employees, track a person or even track your own driving habits, Rocky Mountain Tracking has a GPS tracking device that will work for you.
Call Rocky Mountain Tracking (RMT) today to speak with a knowledgeable expert who can assess your tracking needs and help you choose the GPS tracking device that will work best for you. RMT sells both active and passive tracking devices. You can pick a device and plan that will suit your needs and budget. There are even some tracking devices that you only pay for when you use them. With RMT’s state-of-the art NavIQ software, you can track your vehicle anywhere in the United States. GPS tracking products from RMT start at just $199 with no monthly fee.

Earlier this month, Rocky Mountain Tracking was recognized for its innovative use of video on its website in an online article. If you have been to www.RMTracking.com, you have likely noticed the video host on the bottom right hand corner of the screen who greets you with “Welcome to Rocky Mountain Tracking,” explains why RMT is a leading reseller of GPS tracking systems, and leads website users on a virtual tour, leading them to the compare products page of the website.
“As any company, we experienced the typical website customer spending just 2, 5 or 10 seconds here before they got bored and moved onto another site,” said RMTracking.com President, Brad Borst, from the company’s Fort Collins, Colo., headquarters. “Video gives them something else to look at. It’s a must for any ecommerce business looking to maintain their attention long enough until they’ve had a chance to look more into the site and your products.”
RMT knows that the way to get customers to stay with you is to implement something that grabs their attention. But in contrast to its website-enhancing techniques, it sells GPS tracking devices that do just the opposite. You do not want a GPS tracking device that grabs everyone’s attention. You want a tracking device that gets the job done with as little fanfare as possible.
GPS tracking devices from Rocky Mountain Tracking are not bulky or obtrusive. They do not stand out, demand attention or get in the way. A GPs tracking device like the PT-200, which is the world’s smallest GPS device, gives you real time tracking and location history with full address, date and time stamp. This tiny GPS device packs a lot of tracking power. When it comes to asset tracking, the PT-200 is easy to hide.
You can also use the PT-200 for track even the smallest pets when you pair it with the PT-200 Pet Collar. That is a testament to just how great this device is. People often associate GPS tracking devices with cars, but as you know, even the largest pets are not nearly the same size as a car. The PT-200 fits into a collar that will not disturb or weigh down your pet.
So RMT lets you track assets and pets with no fuss and saves the high visibility for its website.

How many times have you heard of something or someone being referred to as a ‘lifesaver,’ even when this was an exaggeration? Well, one Rocky Mountain Tracking (RMT) customer can use these very words to describe his GPS tracking device and RMT’s call center staff and he would not be exaggerating at all.
For the fourth time, Rocky Mountain Tracking has been there for his family when they really needed it. “All behavioral health facilities should know about the advantages of Rocky Mountain Tracking’s products and services,” says Burns. “We could save so many lives with their services and products.”
Jerry Burns’ wife Laura has been plagued by mental health issues. He has stuck by her and RMT has stuck by him. He installed a Rocky Mountain Tracking Rover GPS tracking system in the care his wife drives to help keep track of her movements and keep her from endangering herself.
Recently, Burns came home to find that his wife had gone somewhere in her car. First he called his wife’s cell phone, but that did not reassure him because the cell phone was turned off.
Since he was not near a computer, Burns could not go online to find out where his wife’s car was, but he know where to turn/ Burns called Rocky Mountain Tracking for help. Using NAVIQ, the team at the RMT call center was able to located the car. Next Burns made a call to the police to tell them that he feared that his wife would try to take her own life. With the information that he got from Rocky Mountain Tracking, Burns was able to give the police information on his wife’s whereabouts.
Josh Chittenden was the Rocky Mountain Tracking technical support executive who took Burns’ call. “It was our information that helped Burns get a police dispatch which protected the lady from endangering herself,” Chittenden says.
Police officers found Mrs. Burns just as she was preparing to swallow a large number of pills. The crisis was averted because her caring husband put measures in place to track her travels by car.
If you need help keeping track of a loved one—be it because of metal illness or advancing age, turn to Rocky Mountain Tracking. We do more than just sell you a GPS tracking device; we are committed to helping you make the most of GPS tracking technology and can provide you with information that can make all the difference at a critical moment.

Earlier in the week, we discussed how “GPS Tracking Provides Useful Evidence.” For those who are investigating crimes, GPS tracking devices can sometimes give them the edge they need to bring some criminals to justice. For example, evidence from GPS tracking allowed authorities to nab an arsonist who set a dozen fires.
On the flip side, some people, like Shaun Malone of California, found that a GPS tracking device provided the information they needed to be declared innocent of an infraction.
Because they can record actions such as braking, signaling and the use of seatbelts, GPS tracking devices can be a great asset in the unfortunate event of an accident.
However, one need not wait until something unpleasant occurs to use a GPS tracking device. Instead, you can use a GPS tracking device to do what you can to try to prevent accidents and avoid traffic infractions.
In the case of teenage driver Shaun Malone, who is mentioned above, this is exactly what his parents wanted to do. Malone’s stepfather, a retired law enforcement official, installed a GPS tracking device purchased from Rocky Mountain Tracking on the car Malone drives to monitor Malone’s driving habits.
A tracking device like the RMT Rover allows parents to keep track of how fast their teen is driving, if their teen is using a seat belt and it will give you information on where they have driven, in real time. Once you have this information, then as a parent, you can take the action you think is appropriate if you find that your teenager does not have safe driving habits.
However, you may be pleasantly surprised and find that your teenager consistently wears a seatbelt, does not exceed the speed limit and does no sudden braking. You may want to take some action in that situation too. Good driving habits are their own reward, but parental encouragement can boost confidence and cement the resolver to be a safe driver.
Whatever the case, when you install a teen tracking device, this means that you won’t have to do any guesswork about your teen’s driving habits. You cannot assume your child is or is not driving recklessly. A GPS tracking device can give you the information you need.

On Monday, we mentioned that Rocky Mountain Tracking has released the RMT Watchdog, which integrates a satellite tracking system from Axonn, LLC. And now we want to tell you more about how you can make use of this innovative GPS tracking technology.
By placing the RMT WatchDog satellite tracking device on any trailer, container, tool or other equipment, owners can track their assets across the world in real time from the comfort of their own office. It is a purely one-way form of communication, replacing more costly and power-hungry two-way devices where needed. It excludes the need for installation with a wiring harness, antenna, or external power, making installation easy and efficient.
As an RMT customer, you will already be able to take advantage of RMT’s flagship NavIQ software, which is made all the more powerful when it is put to use in the RMT WatchDog satellite tracking device. You will get to see a number of interactive maps and dynamic reports in full color, which greatly enhances your ability to understand the what you see as an asset travels.
This is fantastic news for those of you who own for equipment and trailers. You have to use these things on job sites, of course, However, as you may well know, you face serious risk of loss when equipment and trailers are in use at a job site because they are hot ticket items, especially during these tough times. In 2005, a survey showed that around 72 per cent of equipment owners faced some sort of theft – a startlingly high statistic. This is not one of those situations where you can just brush off probability and assume that you are part of the small percentage of equipment owners who do not have to be concerned.
You may be just as disheartened to learn that less than 15 per cent of stolen equipment is ever recovered, and theft has increased by 20 per cent since 1996. Recently, another survey pegged the cost of heavy equipment losses at $1 billion every year.
Then again, there is no need to be disheartened. There are precautions you can take to guard your equipment from theft. The RMT WatchDog is an excellent, low-cost way to keep your equipment where it belongs—within your sight.
“All these assets can be protected and tracked down with the RMT WatchDog for as little as $0.25 per day,” says Brad Borst, President of Rocky Mountain Tracking. “It’s a classic case of making sure you don’t step over a dollar to save a dime.”

There was a time when a “Beware of Dog” on a fence sign acted as a way to scare away potential prowlers, even if the owners of the house did not even have a dog.
Well, Rocky Mountain Tracking (RMT) has employed a watch dog of its own, not to scare you away, but to keep guard over your most precious assets. And we can assure you that this watch dog is definitely real.
RMT’s software has now been integrated with the RMT WatchDog, a satellite GPS tracking system that is manufactured by Axonn, LLC. Axonn LLC has been committed to the research, development and commercialization of satellite and radio frequency-based hardware for the tracking, monitoring and management of fixed and mobile remote assets since 1985.
“We are very excited about the release of the RMT WatchDog on NavIQ, which is raising the bar for web-based vehicle and asset tracking systems across the world,” says Brad Borst, President of Rocky Mountain Tracking.
If you were not aware, NavIQ is a robust, yet economical tracking software. This software is the foundation for our first-rate GPS (Global Positioning System) vehicle tracking selection. RMT’s GPS hardware has met strict testing and certification standards. RMT’s mission is to provide a high quality and affordable tracking solution for every application using the latest technology.
This dog doesn’t bark, but it has a mean bite. The RMT WatchDog combines GPS and RF technologies with the GlobalStar Simplex Satellite. It provides complete coverage–the kind that cannot be provided by GSM and CDMA devices. And you know they say that one human year equals seven dog years? Well the RMT WatchDog kind of fits that mold, except that it turns that saying on its ear. The RMT WatchDog’s innovative battery actually lasts for seven years–that’s seven of our human years, just to be clear.
The release of the RMT WatchDog Global Positioning System is one more way that RMT shows that it is a company that is dedicated to making sure its customers get the best possible service. Just last month, Rocky Mountain Tracking announced its partnership with KORE Telematics, a leader in machine-to-machine communications.We are continually looking for ways to serve you better and ways that we can improve our products. RMT also wants to make sure you have choices when it comes to selecting the tracking device that will best fit your needs.

Thumbing through a magazine the other day, I saw an interview with a pet therapist. Some of you reading this may think that this is a very necessary profession and some of you may not. Either way, you surely have noticed that people are putting a lot more efforts to take care of their pets these days. Animals are not just left in the backyard, chained to a fence anymore.
If yours is a family that allows your pet to roam the neighborhood a bit or if you take your pet with you on hikes and family vacations, then you have to have some concern over your pet’s potential to get lost. Sometimes just yelling a pet’s name is enough for them to come running. This may work as long as your pet has not wandered too far out of eyesight and earshot. But what do you do when a pet simply cannot be found?
When an animal goes missing, it can be very difficult to find. Animals are often disoriented and frightened and can’t find their way home.
This is where GPS tracker technology can be very helpful. You can track your pet’s movements using a GPS tracking devices that is transported in a pouch that was specially designed to be attached to an animal collar, so it goes wherever your pet goes. Rocky Mountain Tracking has one such tracking devices in its product lineup–the PT-200 for Pet Tracking.
Some people have opted to put have microchips implanted into some part of their pet’s body, but as RMT’s president Brad Borst points out, that may not be very helpful when it comes to finding your pet.
“Our goal with the PT-200 is to provide pet owners with peace of mind to ensure the safety of all animals. Microchips are being implanted in animals, but the microchips are only used to identify the animal. Microchips are not GPS locating devices, said Borst.” The PT-200 is most common for dog tracking, but it can be used to track small and large animals of all sizes.
Multiple PT-200 GPS tracking devices can be managed from one tracking account. So if you already have a PT-200 GPS tracking device, you can just add a device for your pet to the service that you already have.

We’ve discussed before how Rocky Mountain Tracking (RMT) spends time testing and evaluating a number of potential products, subjecting them to rigorous standards. We want to make sure that our customers get products that really work and we reject a high percentage of the devices we test. We don’t take for granted that a GPS tracking device really works, we test it so that you don’t have to be a guinea pig. You want GPS tracking to work for you when you need it .
Well, RMT applies those same standards to the technology that is used to power our top quality GPS tracking products.
Earlier this month, Rocky Mountain Tracking announced that the company has decided to partner with KORE Telematics to power its full suite of vehicles and asset tracking solutions. KORE Telematics is the world’s largest digital wireless service provider. KORE Telematics is a leader in machine-to-machine communications, so they are more than equipped to aid Rocky Mountain Tracking. As a pioneer in the M2M industry, KORE is focused on helping its partners reduce real business costs and drive profitable growth in today’s competitive business environment.
Although people make machines, machines do not always talk to each other in the exact same way that people do. With KORE’s help, Rocky Mountain Tracking can be certain that your GPS tracking device is speaking to your cell phone or your desktop computer in a such a way that these devices give you a clear message about the people and/or assets that you are tracking.
Alex Brisbourne, president and COO, KORE Telematics, said “We are extremely pleased to see Rocky Mountain Tracking utilizing the KORE network to provide reliable wireless connectivity to their customers. This is another example of the value-added, revenue-generating services made possible by the KORE network for companies in the M2M asset tracking applications industry.”
With KORE, Rocky Mountain Tracking can now enhance its leading GPS-based tracking solutions with the wireless connectivity required to offer additional services, such as vehicle speed, direction and fuel capacity, among others.
“During the past five years, we have worked with a number of wireless network providers and none of them have been able to match the reliability and performance of the KORE network,” said Brad Borst, founder and president of Rocky Mountain Tracking.
Borst noted that the KORE network has the capabilities needed to differentiate among RMT’s application offerings and transmit time-sensitive date with the speed and accuracy the consumers of GPS tracking technology expect.
